Johann Birndorfer, the future Holy Brother Konrad von Parzham, was born in 1818 on the "Venus-Hof", a proud four-sided farm in Rottal, built in 1750.
About 4 kilometres south of Bad Birnbach towards Asenham lies the crocodile stone (Krokodilstein) on a hill after Hölzlberg in an open area, which can be seen from far away.
The Massing open-air museum houses old farms from the Rottal, Hallertau and Isartal.
