Welcome - the Polting estate is situated in the tertiary hill country, between the Rott and Vils Valleys, in Lower Bavaria. In addition to arable farming, pond management and forestry, we have been breeding sheep since 1928.

Under the motto "Quality from tradition" we are constantly striving to produce the very highest quality of our food. This succeeds in harmony and in dealing responsibly with the surrounding nature and in the knowledge of rural tradition.
We see ourselves as a manufacturer of high-quality food as the basis of a healthy diet for discerning connoisseurs. In addition to the production, the exact knowledge of the wishes of each individual customer is of utmost importance to us.

Our range also includes: Poltinger lambskin from our own sheep farming and local tanning.
The quantity of products offered remains limited and depends on the natural conditions and seasons.
For over 30 years we have been supplying quality-conscious top gastronomes and private consumers under the registered trademark "Gutshof-Polting®". Gutshof-Polting® products are sold exclusively through direct sales and not through wholesalers. This means that the consumer can always rely on the origin of the products and the company-specific quality criteria which go beyond the standard quality controls.In our farm shop, which is open every Friday (except January and February) from 2 pm to 6 pm, you can buy not only fresh and local food, but also, for example, tanned lambskins and exquisite sheep wool products. Poltinger lambskins are not only an asset as decoration, but also as a cuddly gift or in your own bed, a great success.
It is not only the way in which animals are kept that determines the quality of the food, but also the way in which they are slaughtered and subsequently processed. Our lambs have been slaughtered at the local butcher's for over 30 years. This eliminates unnecessary transport routes and stress for our animals. Once the meat has been optimally hung, the carcasses are cut individually in the modern cutting rooms according to the wishes of our customers, and then vacuum packed.
