Description
Passing the Bruder-Konrad Chapel you will find yourself in the nature of the rural spa.
The climate trail begins at the edge of the forest. With the help of 19 info panels, you will learn a lot of interesting facts about the forest and its management - especially considering the long noticeable climate change. 18 "tree panels" invite you to test your knowledge about types of trees and wood. And if you want to linger a little and make music, you can play the dendrophon, a xylophone made of woods from different tree species. Many carvings and a large stone table can also be discovered there.
The Lugenz climate trail leads through the ecclesiastical foundation forest of the Diocese of Passau.
Following the Way of the Cross, you return to the starting point.
You start at the car park of the elementary and middle school Bad Birnbach.
Downhill you pass the Bruder-Konrad Chapel. At the high-voltage power line, keep to the right and hike up the hill until you reach the edge of the forest.
In the forest, keep left and explore the climate trail.
At the end of the climate trail, turn right and follow the Way of the Cross back to the starting point.
