Rose Bad Birnbach

It is considered a real miracle flower, it is very resistant to frost and pests and has delighted thousands of flower lovers all over the world since 1999.

Their salmon pink, full flowers make them almost unmistakable. We are talking about the "Rose Bad Birnbach", which was first presented to the public in 2000. Since then, numerous rose beds have been planted year after year in the rural spa alone. Even at the 1200th anniversary of Bad Birnbach, they did not want to do without the splendour of the flowers. Two rose ambassadors were found in the persons of Carolin Reiber and Monica Countess of Arco auf Valley. In addition, for example, all stations on the meditation trail in the spa park were decorated with the "Rose Bad Birnbach".

Architect Thomas Richter, who created the graphics for the meditation trail and provided important planning services, also designed a signature for the meditation trail.  It contains the stylised rose, the floor labyrinth and the colour blue, as a homage to the legendary Bad Birnbach medicinal water. By the way, the "Rose Bad Birnbach" was cultivated by Wilhelm Kordes.
Efforts to create this rose began as early as 1988. At the baptism of the rose in 1999, Kordes described how difficult it was to cultivate it. "Only three to four attempts at cultivation remain out of 200,000, and this after a period of at least eight, more like ten and more years," he said at the time. Against this background, the characteristics of the "Rose Bad Birnbach" appear once again in a brighter light. By the way, the "Rose Bad Birnbach" was named by Monica Gräfin von Arco auf Valley in 1999. Cultivation was initiated by Josef Steinschnack, who in turn found an important comrade-in-arms in Bernd Schampel, chairman of the tourist association.
